About Me
I’m Pippa, the instructor behind Pippa’s Driving Academy, and I’m passionate about helping people learn to drive in a way that feels calm, supportive, and genuinely empowering. Before becoming a driving instructor, I worked as a therapist within the field of psychology which allows me to bring a calm, supportive and person‑centred approach to my work. My experience has shaped the way I teach: with patience, empathy, and a real understanding of how nerves, confidence, and learning styles can influence someone’s driving journey.
Since training as a driving instructor, I’ve developed a particular interest in supporting nervous or anxious learners. Whether someone is brand new to driving, returning after a long break, or simply feeling unsure, I take the time to create a comfortable pace and a teaching approach that helps them feel safe, understood, and in control.
I’m also expanding my work to include assessments for individuals over the age of 70 who want to review their driving skills, maintain independence, or gain reassurance about their abilities on the road. My goal is always to provide a respectful, confidence‑boosting experience that focuses on safety and well-being.
